Actually it’s almost the exact same weapon. It features the same properties of the AK47 and still uses that basic design.
Except that the AK-47 is noticeably larger than some versions of the AK-74 and uses a much bigger bullet.
Wrong the AK74 is actually 1 inch longer than the standard AK47′s size very a lot. Some AK47′s are long some are short. It’s not a one size fits all thing. Also just because a different caliber does not make a gun “totally different”

Yeah and there are pistol AK47′s. Trust me just because on Call of Duty they’re shorter doesn’t mean they all are. Stick with COD boy.
I don’t play Call of Duty retard. I’m going by information on the AKS-74U which is a different type of AK-74. The length with the stock extended is *28.9* inches.
What the hell earlier you said the AK47 was longer then the 74 was longer now the 47 make up your mind. Sure theres millions of AK variants, but the standard 74 is longer than the 47. If you want to go on uncommon ones then AK47 is much shorter because there are AK47 pistols. You’re just trying to twist the argument to win.
For Christ’s sake…. YES the AK-74 is longer than the AK-47 BUT THE AKS-74U IS *NOT*. That’s my POINT dude. It isn’t that hard to tell if you know how to read. I have yet to see an “AK-47 pistol” but I know that the ’47 with the wooden stock folded is shorter. I’m not some dumb retard that doesn’t do some Googling to be sure before commenting. (Not applying that you don’t already know this stuff, though you ARE wrong about twisting the argument.)

Russians use ak47 cuz it is cheaper to make versus m16 and it is more dependable. M16 does have better accuracy than the ak47

every modern rifles today is copied with the m16 designed. is there any doubt that this is no. 1 (one)??. But if i will always clean it, and i am in the jungle for a period of days, yes, i will choose ak47. id rather spend my time looking for food and be alert then cleaning my rifle.
I hate the M16 not because it’s popular gun I hate it because it got 100′s if not 1000′s of US boys killed in Vietnam, and other battles/wars, because it jams the round is a tiny 5.56mm that has no stopping power unless you get the guy in the head or the heart, that takes a long time to clean, and a short time to get dirty, hell the prototype of the M16 blew up during testing, it’s just a flying piece of bull.
The M-16 is not a bad rifle at all, the real problem is that its potential hasn´t been fully developed. Look at the HK-416, most of it is based on the M16, with some small improvements and hell it is reliable.
The last thing i read about the M16´s issues blamed all of it on the US army for not demanding higher standards from Colt, which says that the rifle could be drastically improved if the responsibles for such matters in the Us army asked them to.
