This is my Ar-15. I bought the kit from del-ton.com and purchased a stripped spikes tactical lower receiver locally. I will have more videos coming up with me actually shooting it. These are very easy to assemble. Here are the exact video’s I used to help me assemble mine: www.youtube.com www.youtube.com

Love the AR bro. good vid.
@JobForAGunXx Thanks man!
Just ordered my del-ton mid length kit as well. I got a grizzly arms lower for it. and i also got a 4 rail gas block instead of the standard front sight, other than that it is pretty much going to be the same as your AR. Nice vid dude!
@SgtGordan Thanks for the comment. I’ve now shot about 500 rounds through it without any problems at all. The only thing I dont like is that if you use any steel cased ammo like wolf or brown bear it will void the warranty. I went ahead and took my chances and bought some silver bear and it hasn’t given me any problems yet. Overall, I’m still very happy with it and I’m sure you will be with yours. Happy shooting!
Thats funny because i bought that exact same ammo for my gun too! HAHA great minds do think alike! We really will have almost the same gun then. I’ll make a video of it when i get it all put together then you can see for yourself
@SgtGordan Haha. Sweet! Really, the silver bear isn’t bad ammo. Mainly the reason I got it over the brown bear or wolf is because all of that stuff was laquer coated, which i hear doesn’t go good with the tight tolerances of the AR-15. Forgot to mention that about 100 rounds of that 500 was bump firing
And I had no problems at all. I’m looking forward to the video!
what kind of accuracy do you get?
@ccsniper Its actually really good with the heavy barrel. I put a cheap scope on it and shot a 3 inch group at 100 yards. That may not sound real good but I haven’t really done very much long range shooting and I was using silver bear ammo. Im sure it would be even better with winchester or remington ammo and even more so with handloads. With the red dot, I didn’t get real good groups but found out it was the red dot moving around. Im sure the gun is more accurate than i can shoot it.
what does a chrome lined barrle doe. and is it worth the extra$
@jar288 Well thats kind of a controversial topic. Chrome lined barrels are easier to clean because carbon and copper fouling doesn’t stick to the chrome like it does the smooth lining on a non lined-barrel. Its also alot more resistant to corrosion so the barrel lasts longer and you dont have to clean it quite as often. The drawback is that chrome lined barrels are just a hair less accurate, and also cost. hair-splitting precision accuracy wasn’t a big deal to me since its not a target gun
@jar288 So it just came down to cost. I was trying to make it a cheap gun but they benefits of chrome lined easily passed the drawback of the cost. If you figure how long you will have the gun, 45 bucks really isn’t a big deal. I would definitely recommend getting the chrome lined if you have the money for it. If you don’t, wait just a little bit longer. I promise you will thank yourself in the long run. If you search google for “chrome lined barrel” you’ll get some good links. Hope this helped!
its 750 now…which one did you get out of these, thanks

@mo4life123 I have the 16″ flat-top mid-length one. Its the one at the very bottom of the page. I didn’t buy the complete rifle though. I bought the rifle kit, which is everything you need except the lower receiver. I bought a lower receiver locally so I didn’t have to pay a transfer fee. Then you put the parts of the lower receiver together yourself. If you go to the rifle kits on their website its the 16″ Mid-Length Rifle Kit. If you have anymore questions, let me know. Thanks for watching!
@jar288
Chrome-lined barrels have 3 main advantages when it comes to AR-15s
1: They are much easier to clean because Chrome is much smoother than steel, so the carbon doesn’t stick to it.
2: They last way way longer. Military tests have indicated that the life of a barrel with proper chrome lining (as in it is thick enough) is 30,000-60,000 rounds, but without chrome it’s not even 10,000
3: They provide superior extraction. The carbon will not build up as bad in the chamber, so the…
…case is much less likely to stick in the chamber. If you’re concerned about extraction reliability, I would suggest that you get an extractor upgrade kit from Bravo Company USA (or better yet, just get a whole new bolt from Bravo Company)
The 2 disadvantages, I think, are negligible
1: They cost more. Chrome lined barrels typically add 40$ to the cost of a gun
2: They are a tiny bit less accurate. Of course the difference is too small to even measure when you have a govt. profile barrel.
hows the accuracy on the delton?
@darkstararmory as much as I can tell, its just as any other ar-15. I haven’t done any long range shooting with it because I have had that red dot on it for most of the time. I do have a video of me shooting about 100 yards with a scope and was easily hitting water bottles at that distance.
Why the Spike Lower?
@Nahate23 It was the only lower available locally. If I would have purchased the Del-ton lower, I would have had to pay shipping (maybe $10 at the cheapest) and also a transfer fee ($20). By buying locally, the guy matched the price of the Del-ton lowers, the trasfer was included in the price and of course there wasn’t any shipping. So to answer your question, it was at least 30 bucks cheaper than buying from Del-ton. If you have anymore questions just let me know. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the reply! That what I wanted to know. I see ALOT of videos with ALL Del-Ton but Spikes lower, even where I bought mine did the same.
