I just got the application to get this license. if i am only going to sell to(or buy) for family and friends that have the right to own a gun (no criminals,) will this permit allow it? the main reason i want one is to buy old war rifles and ammo for them cheap for myself, but i have others i know that have old rifles that would love to get ammo for them cheap. any input would be great…. also, for an FFL, would i have to sell them to others, like buy guns and sell them to those that can legally own them in order to have one? i would love to just get them online for myself, but i’m not sure if that is allowed.

Ok so I’m thinking about getting a C&R license (Curious & Relics) for old firearms. I did some thinking, would I be able to get say, a vietnam era M16 (fullauto) with a C&R or would I still be required to get it through an FFL? I don’t think the A1s are 50+ y/o yet but when they are which route could/would I have to take?
Also id like to appologize, my question had nothing to do with WWII weapons like the main line suggested. Thought it would be nice to own one.

i was gonna purchase a surplus rifle online. it will be sent to a C&R dealer who charges little. when i buy it online do they phone/call him to send his FFL license or do i tell him to send it to them.

I sold a pistol to a Pa. resident and I live in NY. My FFL dealer says I can ship it direct to an FFL dealer in PA. using just my driver’s license. I have a copy of the PA. dealer FFL. Is this true?
But my county clerk says I need a receipt from a NY. FFl showing that it was sold to have it remove from my permit!?
