I can’t speak for state laws in Texas. You should contact Texas Dept. of Public Safety. I believe they are the state agency that regulates firearms. I can tell you that at the federal level if you derive 10% or more of your annual income from firearm sales you are considered a firearms dealer and MUST have a Federal Firearms License (FFL). State licensing requirements vary. Call DPS.

You can sell your firearms through local dealers or sell through Texas Gun Trader. Be careful about meeting with people on deals. I always meet at a local police station parking lot. this keeps the criminals away and keeps you safe as well. If there is an officer there you need to let them know what is going on, especially if the purchaser is going to be handling the firearm outside of yours or their vehicle. Don’t take checks. Cash only and always get their name. I always get a look at their Texas Drivers License. If you are concerned about who to sell to then you may want to sell through a dealer for transfer. this way the purchaser is screened and must complete the proper paperwork. this is usually something ANY dealer will do for $25-$35.
