You do NOT need a FFL to sell personal firearms. A FFL is necessary to be a dealer in firearms. So unless you want to engage in this as a full time business, an FFL is NOT necessary to sell a few personally owned firearms. If you are afraid to sell them to an individual, then consign them to an FFL dealer who for a commission will sell your guns for you. If you still want the FFL, Call the local BATF office of the U.S. Treasury. The current process for an FFL is a real hassle to get, and a real hassle to keep. It is not like back in the 70′s or 80′s where just about anyone who wants to furthur his own gun collection can get one, and get whatenver guns he want sent to his house. Those days are long gone.
