Yet more fuel to the fire of the on-going debate on gun purchasing and licensure in America…
The article:
Investigators said Cho procured one of the guns he used in the rampage, a Walther .22-caliber pistol, Feb. 9 from a pawnshop on Main Street in Blacksburg near the Virginia Tech campus.
On March 16, he bought the second gun, a 9mm Glock 19, from Roanoke Firearms, a gun shop on Cove Road in Roanoke.
He used his driver’s license as identification and had no problem buying the guns because he was complying with Virginia law, which permits the purchase of one gun a month, investigators said.
The Glock was used in two shootings, first in a dormitory and then in Norris Hall more than 2 1/2 hours later, officials said. A surveillance tape, which has now been watched by federal agents, shows Cho buying the Glock, sources said. Both guns are semiautomatic, which means that one round is fired for every finger pull.

no crimes were against him
Hmmmm. But you can’t have a radar in your car in Virginia. Go figure.
That is an interesting and thought provoking statement. When my mom talks of how liberal some European countries are for allowing topless beaches, I ask her whats worse, allowing women to be topless or to allow people to buy numerous weapons that are designed to kill? I can’t buy a radar detector, but I can buy twelve handguns a year.
too easy and sad
Just to give you a clue, most legal firearms are semi-automatic. Most Sport guns are semi-automatic. My shotgun is semi-automatic, this does not make them "evil" or systematic killers etc. As for gun laws, we are not a fascist state and should not be putting the general good above the individual rights.
What exactly is your question? This isn’t yahoo debate. Even if it was yahoo debate, I couldn’t argue for or against your point. Why? You don’t make it clear what side you are for. From reading your post all I can tell is that you are excited about how easy it is to buy guns in Virginia. From now on, when you post, please make sure it is a question or at least if you have to post an opinion, make sure people can tell what side of the argument you are on, that way we can at least post comment agreeing with you or condemning you for being an idiot!
Easy to buy a gun but you have to get license to drive car.
