If a state is concealed carry state, when it comes to firearms, if an individual does not have a concealed pistol license, can they person, by law, still carry a pistol "open carry" style?
Here is the Washington State Law regarding carrying firearms:
(1)(a) Except in the person’s place of abode or fixed place of business, a person shall not carry a pistol concealed on his or her person without a license to carry a concealed pistol.
(b) Every licensee shall have his or her concealed pistol license in his or her immediate possession at all times that he or she is required by this section to have a concealed pistol license and shall display the same upon demand to any police officer or to any other person when and if required by law to do so. Any violation of this subsection (1)(b) shall be a class 1 civil infraction under chapter 7.80 RCW and shall be punished accordingly pursuant to chapter 7.80 RCW and the infraction rules for courts of limited jurisdiction.
(2)(a) A person shall not carry or place a loaded pistol in any vehicle unless the person has a license to carry a concealed pistol and: (i) The pistol is on the licensee’s person, (ii) the licensee is within the vehicle at all times that the pistol is there, or (iii) the licensee is away from the vehicle and the pistol is locked within the vehicle and concealed from view from outside the vehicle.
(b) A violation of this subsection is a misdemeanor.
(3)(a) A person at least eighteen years of age who is in possession of an unloaded pistol shall not leave the unloaded pistol in a vehicle unless the unloaded pistol is locked within the vehicle and concealed from view from outside the vehicle.
(b) A violation of this subsection is a misdemeanor.
(4) Nothing in this section permits the possession of firearms illegal to possess under state or federal law.

Look, you do not need a license for a firearm. Let me tell you why. I hunt, yet I have never had a hunting license. I’ve been confronted by gaming wardens, and told them I don’t need a license. To get a license is asking permission. Why would I ask permission to hunt and gather food? Why would I ask permission to carry a gun which is my right? You do not need to ask permission for these things. Will you be threatened by "authorities" to get a license? Maybe. But don’t regress. Carry a gun. It’s your right. Don’t be brainwashed into thinking you need a license.
Washington State is an ‘open carry’ state – even though a bunch of police don’t know it.
See the link.
It depends on what State-some states are open carry, others aren’t. I know AZ is open carry, for example. There are areas where it is still prohibited such as schools, bars, and any place the owner does not allow firearms.
I’m pretty sure it is illegal to carry a firearm openly in ANY State unless you are in Law Enforcement or on your own property. In Alabama, you may carry a weapon on your own property, concealed or not, wit a CCW or not, as long as you are on your property. On public lands, or on someone else’s property, you must have a CCW and can only carry concealed.
I read that law from WA to be basically the same, in that on your own property you can carry it open, but everywhere else you must have a CCW.
