"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."
Thomas Jefferson
The Amended South African firearm control act of 2006 dictates that all gun owners must re-register their firearms. The process is (of course) painstakingly slow as it meanders through the politically correct and inefficient South African beaurocracy, with no guarantee of a renewed license.
Many of these weapons, that have been turned in to the backward and corrupt new South African police services, whilst awaiting renewal of the application, have miraculously found their way into the hands of violent criminals and used in robberies and murders.
The cops are criminals, too.
The first ‘civilized’ nation to enact gun control laws was Nazi Germany, in 1933.
Before a population can be overwhelmed, it first must be disarmed.

this is nearly a good question……..as a firearm owner i had a problem with my legal f/a been made "illegal" through the 4 gun limit as proposed in the original bill……however it has been changed and the 4 gun limit does not apply and i just have to motivate each f/a…….it is also good as there were plenty people who dont know where therir f/a’s are or how they work or when to use it…….in that respect it forces ppl to brush up on f/a skills and imposes tough penalties on non compliance……the biggest problem is the monitoring of it and getting the saps and sandf up to speed on their own compiance with their own weapons……at this stage no-one in saps and sandf and other deptartments are legally allowed to carry official f/a’s but there is a window period for them to comply……….in short i think it is a good bill and not designed to stop you bearing arms
It goes without saying that the ANC are s hit scared of an uprising by Whites and are highly aware of the hidden arms caches. There is still an element of highly trained and disciplined ex troops in South Africa who could rise and inflict a military coup detat hence the ANC genocide and White displacement policies.Africans are not noted for any form of discipline, organisation or bravery on the battlefront. They are more likely to turn and run or surrender/sell their weapons as has already been witnessed in Burundi and now South Africa. The Act therefore is intended solely to disarm Whites and leave them exposed to the criminal thugs armed with AK 47′s etc that have flooded the Country since the cessation of hostilities in neighbouring territories. The biggest problem in all of this is the denialist Whites who still believe the Mandela myth and the Rainbow Nation despite the evidence before their very eyes. The Coloured population are sitting on the sidelines hoping/thinking that under ANC rule they will also be regarded as Black but the truth is that Blacks regard them as even more racially inferior than Whites. Once the Whites have been "dealt" with then the ethnic cleansing against Coloureds will commence and next will be Asians. The only real hope for South Africa is a Western intervention and with political correctness and libby policies beginning to show signs of being under pressure from mainstream citizens in the West this could become a reality in years to come.
Sadly i can’t disagree you have hit the nail on the head.
This country needs some serious voortrekker( pioneer ) spirit to overcome this curse that has descended on this land of ours.
Yes.
Saying that, even if you do have a firearm and use it to shoot a burglar in your own house, then you will be the one up for murder. And yes, the ANC is scared of the whites and know what we are capable of doing, if we could only stand together and do it. There is so many traitors amongst us, that it makes it diffcult to build up a resistance against the government. The government is so scared of us, look how many police time was used to hunt down those two blokes form the boeremag that escaped.
Yes. Now go back to Europe.
O my word! Leave me defenseless?! Over my dead body! We also have rights, namely the right to protect ourselves against those scums. Believe me, we will fight for our rights.
EK SAL NOOIT MY WAPENS INGEE NIE NOOIT NOOIT NOOIT
According to the law you should give in your weapon, but we all know what the law is South Africa means, and it is not like they will go from house to house looking for weapons, if they did then maybe there wouldnt be so much murders.
My advice keep your firearm and if they do show up at your door just say that it is broken it is not like they gonna know for sure.
South Africa Law System is a joke, so it is time you start abusing it for your own safety
lol canada has tried this approach too and it turned into a financial disaster costing the taxpayers billions. do you really think farmer brown is going to hand over his shotgun, when he has to rig his farmhouse with teargas cannisters and pay for helicopter armed response to protect his family? anymore than the canadian farmer keeping coyotes away from his livestock with his .22? what a joke.
