There are a lot of gun laws and every state is different. Should these laws be nationalized and if they aren’t do we have enough laws or should we enforce the ones we do have.

Too much gun control?
In the UK there is very strict gun control. You are 34 times less likely to die by shooting in the UK than the USA. How can you deny that statistic? [yeah, I know, they will anyway!]
In raw numbers that is 28874 USA deaths each year against 81 in the UK.
We’re now in big danger of guns being blamed for the acts of the criminally insane, and the acceptance of false solutions by many.
Don’t listen to the statement by the poster above. It is totally ridiculous, the classic liberal mentality and untrue.
People in the UK are now at the mercy of criminals, unable to defend themselves and their loved ones. They are no longer a free people. This is why the 2nd Amendment exists in the United States, and our founders knew this dilemma would exist.
Even if you have freedom of speech – if you don’t have a right to self protection, you are not a free person. Black slaves were forbidden to own guns, as were the people under Nazi rule. One of the Fuerher’s first campaigns was to disarm the honest citizenry and insure that his criminal thugs retained control.
Well this is my opinion. I don’t think anybody should be able to carry better guns then what our law enforcement uses.
No, they should not be nationalized. A state like Montana, where there are very few law enforcement officers has much different needs than Maryland, where they’re everywhere.
Of course, if you mean that they should all go to the LOWEST common denominator, I’d be for that.
Big guns are fun to shoot
. Beyond that, large magazines mean less reloading.
before there were guns. There were murders.
How can that be possible?
Hmmmm maybe the rock or stick should have been banned in 2000BC? Just a thought.
The government is banned from infringing on our right to keep and bear arms. All federal laws that do so are unconstitutional.
Jeez……enough with the gun issues already. The laws are fine the way they are. There are SO MANY guns out there, further regulation only regulates honest citizens.
Nationalized gun laws would be good, if they protected your right to own a gun. I don’t mean AK-47′s, but a gun, and no you shouldn’t need a permit to own a gun! That is that right of every American citizen, own a gun to protect yourself from that crazy government!
There is only one gun-law that should be made a law. All men and women should have to carry a gun at all times..
We already have over 400 gun laws on the books. Guns in the hands of law abiding citizens is what this country was founded on.
The criminals would love to see guns removed from citizens. That would make their jobs easier. As for Full auto and High capacity magazines. The Brady bill expired and we can once again own high capacity magazines. If you want to own a full Auto weapon all you have to do is get a federal firearms license. I think semi automatic is a better controlled rate of fire. Conserves ammo and tends to be more accurate.
As for the comment about the UK.
Who the Heck wants to live in the UK.
No, each state is unique and has different needs. The gun laws that work well for rural areas like Kansas and South Dakota will not work in New York City or Los Angeles, and vice versa.
Nationalizing is simply an excuse to force states with stricter laws to lower their standards to those of the other states.
I agree, people from the UK are lame. This is America. Arm yourself and feel safe….
Does this sound like too much gun control to you?

Gun control only prevents honest people from getting guns which really only helps criminals
We don’t need nationalized gun laws. We are a union of states. Nothing is wrong with owning any kind of weapon for a law abiding person. If it’s legal, go for it. The problem is not the weapon, but the user. Why do people keep asking the same lame questions? Common sense should prevail here.
