M16A2 Rifle Qualification

This was during the Virginia Military Institute Army ROTC FTX (Field Training Excercise) during October of 2009. This is not the standard qualification course, this is a practice drill for said course. We were shooting at paper targets with simulated distance-size targets on the piece of paper. There are no pop-up targets, nor does it go out to 300 yards. This is meant to be practice for the “real deal” and is not a substitute for it. The standards that we had to meet that day: 40 rounds are fired at 10 targets, four rounds per target. The total number of points a Soldier can get is 40. 37-40 hits is “Expert,” 31-36 hits is “Sharpshooter,” 24-30 is “Marksman,” and 23 and lower is a no-go. We had four minutes to shoot the 40 rounds with the M16A2 rifle.

I went to purchase a 9mm pistol today from a licensed dealer. My first and only other weapon I’ve ever owned was purchased from an individual and in LA you don’t need one unless it comes from a dealer. I didn’t think twice about it until the dealer told me that it was put on hold. when I was 18 I was arrested for a possession charge. That was 17 years ago. I never went to court or anything. All charges were dropped. Since then I’ve joined the army. Served on 2 deployments got married w/2.3 kids, a house, white fence and everything. Why would they stop me from buying a firearm? Could there really be repercussions after all this time?

Why are politician under the impression that the U.S military is Conservative?

Liberals generally hate the military institution because they assume it’s conservative. Mostly its conservatives that assume the military to be conservative.
Here’s the reality: There is almost no religious freedom. All churches are non denominational, religious symbols must not be visible on your uniform. Gun control, No soldier can carry a gun on or off duty except when issued one, and the same with ammo. Going to strip clubs and prostitutes is a common pastime even among married soldiers. There is no capitalism among soldiers. All soldiers are trained to think and act the same way.
I knew plenty of liberals in the army, but mostly nobody talked politics. I had the impression that the troops didn’t have a clue about political issues anyway.
I dont know why some feel they have to justify the rules. The point of my question was not to critize the rules, its about political perceptions of the military.

Howto 3 Point Tactical Sling to M16 like Rifle

Small tutorial how i kindly modified my M15A2 Rifle with fixed stock to use a tactical 3 point sling. This is an Airsoft so dont think something EDIT: i used it now in a urban terrain Game and its very useful! But i prefel a normal M16 Sling for woodland games cuz 3 point is only handy in urban terrains.
