How do you feel about gun control?

My definition of gun control is using both hands and hitting you target. Personally we don’t need any more gun control, we need idiot control. Any firearm in all of their history NEVER killed one single person or animal, the person holding the weapon and squeezing the trigger did. If you want to argue that guns kill ppl, do this, load a gun and place it on your table, it WON’T do anything but sit there. So how do you feel about gun/firearm control? I say there needs to be a lift on the types of weapons one can own and no restrictions like needing a class 3 federal license to own a fully automatic rifle.

@Libraya, I am a former Correctional Officer, if you don’t know what that is, that’s a person that works in a prison also know as Prison Gaurds, as a C/O I had to unfortunately protect murders that used firearms and other tools like knives, I’d rather those criminals receive the death penalty instead of waste tax payer money to keep them alive.

Legislation to require a federal license to possess any detachable-magazine semi-automatic rifle or shotgun, or any handgun, has been introduced in Congress. Bills to re-impose the federal "assault weapon" and "large" magazine ban, or to impose a much broader ban, have been introduced in Congress since 2003, and will likely be introduced in the current Congress soon.

Already, the deliberate deceptions we heard from anti-gunners previously are resurfacing. Anti-gun Sen. Carl Levin, D-MI, said last Thursday on the floor of the Senate that "assault weapons" are "capable of firing up to 600 rounds per minute" and that they are "once again pervading our streets and neighborhoods."

Did we mention that our opponents are deliberately deceptive?

Many fully-automatic firearms can fire 10 rounds in a second, which theoretically would work out to 600 rounds per minute, but they cannot be reloaded fast enough to achieve anything near that rate in reality. But we are not talking about fully-automatic firearms—we’re talking about semi-automatics, and the difference between them need not be explained here.

"Pervading our streets?" Anti-gun lawmakers swore up and down that once the "assault weapon" ban expired, the murder rate would go through the roof. Well, the ban expired in 2004 and since then, the murder rate has gone down to a 43-year low.

What part of the Arizona law is illegal and how does it impede federal duties?

All the law did was add to the state’s public law enforcement officials do is enforce a federal law. Obama and his idiot followers are saying it is a federal law to be enforced and should not be done by a state. Ok so are Firearms. Federal law says I can own an automatic rifle or suppressed rifle or pistol. Yet, certain cities have taken it upon themselves as well as some states in an attempt to keep you from owning hardly any firearm. Look at the ridiculous laws of Chicago, IL and the state of California. So tell me just exactly how asking a Hispanic person to present a driver’s license (which you can only get if you have a social security card / birth certificate / or pass port with visa. So how is it that I am violating someone’s right by asking them if they are here legally??? Asking if they are here legally means they are here illegally and hence they are illegal and have committed a crime.

Obviously you have not travelled abroad or very little. Every country I have been to required me to keep my passport on me at all times, especially when confronted by the polizei, policia, police or what ever i was questioned by. Second I can ask a mexican to produce a driver’s license and proper documentation. If i see them operating a vehicle and they commit an infraction and they do not have a driver’s license or proper identification i just ask them if they are here illegally. They will say yes cause they know they will not get deported. One reason immigrants need to carry information on them at all times is cause one if they are injured we can notify the proper folks, two if they hit your vehicle with their vehicle yo can get yours fixed, and three some states require its OWN CITIZENS to carry ID ESPECIALLY WHEN OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE. And as for your clueless comment on the law ATF (Alcohol Tobacco and FIREARMS) regulate gun control.
