Criminals don’t obey the laws to begin with. Why would adding more laws that restrict the honest, law abiding citizens make a difference? Criminals usually get their guns illegally already.
Lots of people seem to be in an uproar that Obama is going to take their guns. He wants to pass legislation to tighten gun control laws to make it harder for criminals and people with mental disease to purchase guns. Such as requirering background checks at gun shows. I want to know if being safe and saving lives and our childrens lives and this country is worth it to people to not be able to purchase guns as easily as in the past?
they threaten me and then say im under their protection. They threaten me until they can change me into another angry jealous man, an athiest, or a homosexual behind their gun. I dont want to be a part of these peoples group, but they try to control me everywhere I go. They act like its a fun thing. They try to get me to marry into their families and have children behind their gun, but I would never raise children under slavery. Im afraid these are very rich powerful people, probly centered in California or Texas, probly both. I care about this country and will not change my values or leave. I have the right to live here and be a free man, and to be productive independantly. They are always trying to change my beliefs and product. They are always trying to threaten and control me. I want to live in my hometown openly and free from them. I have never entered into a contract or partnership with these people and I refuse. What should I do about this?
We have the right to our own belief system and not to be athiest or live as they do. I do not want to watch this country fall under the tyranny of Kings. What can I do to stop these people? I am very afraid for this nation, because very few take notice of what these criminals are doing, and none are taken seriously.
Penny K, Drugs will not solve this problem, this problem is real.
I dont want to conform to the devils attitudes. I do not want to witness him take power, and I do not want this to escalate to violence, but this must be stopped.

Republicans feel safety > freedom…………..
so they support the patriot act in violation of the constitution’s 4th amendment.
Democrats feel safety > freedom…………….
so they support gun control in violation of the 2nd amendment.
Look, I happen to agree that safety is the number 1 priority.
I support both the patriot act and gun control.
The constitution is subject to loose interpretation.
but why do both sides accuse the other of sacrificing freedom for safety………………
when they are guilty of doing it themselves?
edit: Criminals have been caught thousands of times trying to buy guns legally.
Outlawing guns won’t stop them from getting guns entirely, but it would significantly decrease the quantity of criminals getting guns.
and it is much easier to kill someone with a gun than with a knife.
You can shoot someone from a mile away with a gun….
but with a knife, you need to get up close to the victim, in which case the victim might be able to fight back.

Do you support a gun ban for legal gun owners???
Do you support criminals not getting enough time in prison for having or using a gun in the commission of a crime???
1) there are gun control laws in place. 2)not everyone that owns a firearm is a nut job looking to gun down people. 3) in order for a person to own a sellect fire weapon (automatic) you must get a Federal Firearms License (FFL) and not all states allow that 4) criminals normally don’t go to the store and buy them (they steal them) 5) Charlton Heston is not the president of the NRA, John C. Sigler is. I do hope this helps to clear afew things up. So get it straight.

If they were worried about laws, they wouldn’t be criminals in the first place. All these unconstitutional laws do are make it more difficult for law-abiding citizens to protect themselves.
