How do you feel about gun control?

My definition of gun control is using both hands and hitting you target. Personally we don’t need any more gun control, we need idiot control. Any firearm in all of their history NEVER killed one single person or animal, the person holding the weapon and squeezing the trigger did. If you want to argue that guns kill ppl, do this, load a gun and place it on your table, it WON’T do anything but sit there. So how do you feel about gun/firearm control? I say there needs to be a lift on the types of weapons one can own and no restrictions like needing a class 3 federal license to own a fully automatic rifle.
Thanks to all that actually answered and understood what I was saying and had a IQ above a 50 as Lone Wolf said, sadly I can only pick one as best answer, I feel that all of the answer are best answers except that Libarya person, who obviously has many issues.
@Libraya, I am a former Correctional Officer, if you don’t know what that is, that’s a person that works in a prison also know as Prison Gaurds, as a C/O I had to unfortunately protect murders that used firearms and other tools like knives, I’d rather those criminals receive the death penalty instead of waste tax payer money to keep them alive.

Will criminals soon be the only ones who can purchase a fire arm?

For years lawmakers have defeated bills requiring vendors at gun shows to conduct background checks of would-be buyers. yet such legislation squeaked by the senate courts of justice committee by an 8 t0 7 vote thi week and is poised for a vote in the full senate. Politicians are trying to restrict the average citizens ability to purchase firearms and if successful only criminals will be able to purchase firearms when they choose to without being subject to any kind of check. Currently only licensed gun dealers are required to conduct these checks but if this legislation passes even unlicensed vendors will be required to without the resources to do so, this would effectively end gun shows and sales for any unlicensed vendors. Criminals buy there firearms out of the trunk of other criminals cars so this legislation will not prevent anyone from purchasing a firearm except law abiding citizens. how can these politicians be stopped?

We need a lawyer who deals with federal gun laws ASAP?

We have had out civil rights violated and need help. We have been good law abiding citizens and all of a sudden we criminals because we sold hunting riffles and did it the way we were told to do it. The ATF told us you can’t sell any firearm without consulting them first, which is unheard of since they sell them in the newspapers all the time and all you’re supposed to do is copy their ID. The average citizen cannot do a background check and 3 gun dealers have explained to us that it was all legal. How can we get help with this?

Will someone tell me where I'm mistaken?

Group A: People who go to licensed dealers and gun show and purchase their firearms where they are registered with the federal authorities. They obtain permits to carry concealed firearms after hours of safety training and hundreds of rounds of practice fire and after intense scrutiny into their criminal record. They spend hundreds and even thousands of dollars on high end firearms and ammunition that is held to the highest level of quality and safety control. They spend hundreds of hours and countless rounds of ammunition a year at the range. Some are former law enforcement and military personnel. They are some of the safest firearms operators on the planet. They purchase their weapons for hunting, sport, to exercise their God given right, and to assure the safety and well being of themselves, their loved ones, and their property. What they DO NOT do is perform drive-bys, knock off Seven-Elevens, mug people, and commit murder. For that matter they don’t commit hardly any type of crime because they have to maintain their permits to CCW.

Group B: People who commit murder, perform drive-bys, knock off Seven-Elevens, mug people, and generally have little to no regard for the law. What they DO NOT do is purchase their guns from licensed vendors or register them with law enforcement. They do not purchase high end equipment and ammunition from reputable dealers. They do not obtain legal permits to carry concealed weapons. They do not go through training in weapons use and safety. They do not go through any kind of screening process to weed out criminals (because that’s what they are). They purchase their fireams for any one of the aforementioned reasons

Now, using gun grabber logic, you can stop and prevent Group B from committing all the terrible things they do by taking guns away from Group A.

Do you support Bill Hr45 as Introduced in House: Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009?

Obama’s Congress is now starting on the firearms confiscation bill. If it passes, gun owners will become criminals if you don’t fully comply.
Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm – any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:

-It is registered -You are fingerprinted -You supply a current Driver’s License -You supply your Social Security # -You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing -Each update – change of ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs – Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail. -There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18. -They would have the right to come into (your home anytime) and inspect that you are storing your gun safely.
