www.fastfire.biz had an ad in the back of a magazine of Shotgun News i picked up the other day, advertising that they sold a wide variety of full auto guns chambered in .25acp (like a Browning Baby) that apparently would be mailed to the door of anyone over 18 years old. I looked through their site, and at first it looked like this was all just airsoft guns, but it doesn’t mention airsoft anywhere, only .25 (and .25acp specifically in a few places) which is not airsoft caliber. So am i to understand this site would allow an 18 year old to order a full auto .25acp UZI with silencer for 0 after you add ammo, and legally do whatever they want with it? I mean sure .25acp is not a very lethal round, about like a .22short, but still, an automatic firearm is still an automatic firearm, so how is this not a huge federal crime to be selling automatic handguns to people under 21 with no FFL license requirement on the shipping?

I’m thinking about starting an online store selling firearms, ammunition, and firearms accessories. I would like to ask a few particulars before I get into the nitty-gritty of starting a business, especially this type of business. My state is Kentucky.

First off, I’ll start with the things that I already know, so then those who have gone through it can tell me what I have missed. I must:

1. Fill out a DBA form and check availability of desired business name.
2. Apply for a State Sales Certificate.
3. Apply for an FFL license.
4. Obtain an Internet address.
5. Set up an account with a firearms wholesaler to become a vendor.
6. Keep a record book of all transactions.

I do not plan to have a store location. I plan to have all merchandise in my home and ship products via legal methods (which I believe is Fed Ex Ground, but please correct me if I am wrong). I understand that if I have a store location that I need to notify my local and state police and have all firearms under lock and key after store hours. If I plan to hold all merchandise in my house (where no one would know I have firearms and ammunition), must I notify police and have it locked away?

I also understand that my inventory must be quite large to be successful, so any advice on business loans would be appreciated. I will most likely sell an assortment of small arms, both modern and vintage.

Next I’d like some advice on shipping. Obviously I need to ship merchandise in boxes, but how to obtain the boxes and how to package the items is something I have little experience with.

Thanks very much to all answerers.

www.fastfire.biz had an ad in the back of a magazine of Shotgun News i picked up the other day, advertising that they sold a wide variety of full auto guns chambered in .25acp (like a Browning Baby would use) that apparently would be mailed to the door of anyone over 18 years old, no licensing needed. Why did i post this in hunting? Well i’ve tried posting gun questions in general outdoors with very little result compared to the hunting section (where all the gun guys browse). I admit i believe the Hunting section should be just hunting, but i also believe it is the most appropriate area currently for gun questions, until they create a seperate "shooting sports" group in outdoors for something to cover target shooting, paintball and airsoft, and everything else that currently has to answer under Hunting although it really shouldn’t.

But I switched to another FFL who was mexican american and he said he can put up to 5 firearms in his 4403 form. I even asked this on the firing line forums, and they have never heard of the 7 day limit holding with the ATF or whatever. I think my ignorant white FFL guy was thinking I was going to use them to shoot up some place. He probably doesn’t know that I already graduated.

Anyway, hope this doesn’t scare anyone, and liberals that I’d like to be apologetic to, but when chaos breaks out, I want to protect myself from whites. My white FFL is okay and a bit friendly though and tries to give a good deal, but I’ve found a better deal with my mexican FFL. It’s a tad cheaper and plus my white FFL was out of town for almost a week, and I sent the money order in already expecting him to complete the FFL license transfer, so I needed someone else to do it.
Also mostly need when chaos breaks out even in CA by some white supremacists. I heard Eric Phelps claiming that the Chinese will come over and kill and rape them, and that he will take no prisoners. So I gotta watch out for psychotics like that, especially when you know what happened to indians/middle easterns after 911.
Oh yeah and for the details, I asked my mexican FFL if he had a timeframe for holding one firearm before the next arrives and he said no, which he explained that the form can hold up to 5. He is charging total or was it 40, and the other guy is charging 50$. Which is the cheapest out of all the FFLs I’ve found. The other ones who are white charge 20$ per handgun. And one time I called this Bill Manciani guy and he charged more than his old quoted price; per handgun. What a ripoff.
Mexican FFL has his own site to get rates from his wholesalers too. And he said I could’ve gotten this one item for 25$ cheapers, and said I should consider asking him next time for deals.
