I am working on getting my FFL license?

if you have your FFL could you be kind enough to explain a few things to me. I am wanting to start off selling online and from my home and eventually buy my own store. I have been reading on a paid website called FFLkit.com but I am still a bit confused on a few things such as, a firearm storage certificate? finger print card? and acquisition & disposition (A&D) reports?
also just out of curiosity what is the general mark up cost on firearms if bought at wholesale?

How do you get a permit to own class three firearms in Wisconsin? Does the class 3 permit differ from an FFL? If not, is there a permit to own/ purchase class three firearms without having to own a business or place that could be used as a business. And finally, what is the minimum age to begin this whole process? I found the government website very confusing so maybe somebody could help me out.

A friend of mine has a gun he is willing to sell to me but i want to make sure i have everything i need because i really don’t want to visit a prison for 10+ years.

Should "unlicensed dealers" be permitted at gun shows?

As we all know gun laws differ widely from state to state. In some of the more gun friendly states "unlicensed dealers" (read a guy with a trunk full of weapons) are permitted to ply their wares at gun shows. These individuals will sell whatever they may have at the moment to anybody who is willing to plunk down the asking price. No paperwork and in most cases no id required.
I have seen on several occasions signs advertising this fact. "No paperwork, no id, no waiting.)
Now this does present several problems, but two critical ones immediately leap to mind.
1. The obvious one is this sort of venue provides prohibited persons with ease of access to weapons.
2. As a purchaser one should be extremely suspicious as to the origins of the weapon.
And yes I know that one can easily purchase a firearm out of the classifieds in a great deal of cities as well as the occasional dark alley or back room of some unscrupulous charlatan.
And yes that would be impossible to regulate, but gun shows should not be open to anybody but licensed dealers who play by the rules.
Your thoughts on the matter?
Ok, lets first address the phrase "unlicensed dealer"
There are people who travel from city to city to sell their "collection" of firearms. And while the do not have an ffl nor keep a record book, they are dealers in every sense of the word.
The make a portion, or all of their living from doing this activity.
Very similar to someone who buys up a whole house of junk and has a perpetual yard sale to make a profit. The point I am trying to make here is that we need to do everything possible to keep prohibited people from gaining access to firearms.
And this would be a step in the right direction.
Ok. Before you form a posse, grab rope and set off in search of a tall oak tree, let me just say one thing here,,,,,,
I am not in cahoots with the gun grabbers, nor am I lobbying for this type of action. Just a casual question, one that I have heard of several occasions.
But I think we should take every precaution we can to prevent guns from getting into the hands of prohibited people.
Jeez…who knew this would cause such a hullabaloo.

legality of manufacturing incomplete receivers for sale?

I have a gun design I want to make and sell, but do not have the funds to get all the permits/licenses needed to do it all the way. I know it is legal to manufacture and sell unfinished receivers of a firearm without a manufacture FFL license, do anyone know where can i find laws specific to that so I can read them and determine whether I want to do is legal or not.

I have a semiautomatic handgun design in mind, I know its legal to manufacture firearms for personal uses, that is not to sell it or transfer possession of it to anyone else. but if I was to sell it, would it be legal to sell a gun with an incomplete receiver where the end-user (customer) has to finish it himself to make the firearm functional? and how incomplete does a receiver have to be for it not to be considered a firearm? such an AK receiver blank, as a sheet of steel its not a firearm. it requires someone to press it and rivet it before it becomes a "receiver".

my idea is for a one piece, cast pot metal receiver. everything else of the gun is using common parts from other firearms. for example, it uses an SKS bolt cover, AK trigger group, Hi Point 9mm magazine spring (fixed 10 rd magazine), etc. even the barrel was designed to be easy to find.
I just need to know exactly how unfinished a receiver needs to be so its not considered a "gun".
I plan on design something with a 3d printer, make a plaster mold (2) of that printed part, and use each half of the mold combined together to create one cast metal receiver, complete with all the holes and shapes, all the end user has to do is file, sand, and maybe re-drill some of the holes. requires no special tools at all, nothing you can’t get for 20 bucks at walmart. and I figure I’d ship the cast receiver, complete with plaster mold in one of those USPS flat rate boxes. the plaster serves as packaging material too.

No response from Probate court within 60 days, what can I do? (Firearm conceal license)?

I applied for the Georgia Firearms License on March 18. I have 60 days to recieve a response. If I remember correctly, the 60 days is somewhat of a right to a speedy service. After 60 days, then what? They tell me to shut up and they’ll get to it when they do? In jail you have the right to a speedy trial. I’m sure it’s not an overnight process(although the world would probably spin a bit faster), but you aren’t in jail for 3 years for spitting on a sidewalk waiting for a court date. (whatever)

C&R license with an automatic WWII weapon?

Ok so I’m thinking about getting a C&R license (Curious & Relics) for old firearms. I did some thinking, would I be able to get say, a vietnam era M16 (fullauto) with a C&R or would I still be required to get it through an FFL? I don’t think the A1s are 50+ y/o yet but when they are which route could/would I have to take?
Also id like to appologize, my question had nothing to do with WWII weapons like the main line suggested. Thought it would be nice to own one.

What is the current gun laws in Washington D.C?

I’m moving there soon, my g/f got a really good job there. We currently live in PA, and I do own firearms. Just curious what exactly is there laws, what you can and can not have? I know awhile ago guns were completely banned of any kind, is that still in effect? If gun laws there are really strict, do you suggest then, just too look for a place across the river in Arlington, VA?
