40 people are murdered in the US EVERY DAY, and no one even cares. Then, when someone shoots a congresswoman, suddenly the politicians realize that this is a problem.

It’s just like in the 1960s, anyone could buy a gun without any limitations, and the crime rates were through the roof. Congress didn’t do jack. Then, when President Kennedy got killed, they finally passed the Gun Control Act of 1968.

It seems like Congress doesn’t care about the thousands of people who are murdered every year, but they only take action when it affects a politician.

With regard to the National Firearms Act of 1934, then the Gun Control Act of 1968, the Hughes Amendment in 1986, and any other applicable laws, could you purchase, say a Thompson, which was made before laws restricting automatic weapons? I’m asking because at a recent gun-show i attended, Thompsons were on sale and the sellers had information saying that even though they were automatic, because they were made before laws restricting automatic weapons they could be owned without specialized licenses. Please give sources!! (im in an argument)

Why are Americans allowing the Federal government to erode it little by little? NFA? Gun Control Act of 1968? FOPA of 1986? AWB of 1994?

If it is a God given right….

Why is the NRA not aggressive enough to reverse these losses of our right to bear arms? (NRA needs to man up and fight for our rights).

I would just like to know if Rifles made prior to the Gun Control Act of 1968, requires registration under state or federal law? I own a Rifle that was made in the 1950′s, without a serial number, and I live in NYC. NYC is pretty restrictive in gun ownership, requiring registration of all rifles and shotguns.

When both of these Acts by Congress violate our 2nd Amendment, they restrict it, and infringe on it.
