Why Support Gun Control Knowing The Results?

When gun control got stricter, on the state and Federal levels, the murder rate climbed, and stayed up over 9 per 100,000, often going over 10 per 100,000. As gun control was made less strict on the state and Federal levels, starting with the Gun Owners’ Protection Act and the Florida Concealed Carry law, the murder rate has dropped to 5 per 100,000, making it quite obvious that GUN CONTROL KILLS.

So why do the blood thirsty people want to pass laws which have been proven to cost lives?

Pre-gun control in the UK saw rates of .2 per 100,000, and each gun control law was accompanied by an increase in the murder rate.

Why are there people who support laws originally passed to protect the KKK murderers, (forming the very foundation of Jim Crow laws), and which even now cost lives?
New York City has the oldest gun control law on the books, the Sullivan Act, from 1911. The Sullivan Act was passed so that the criminals being run by Tammany Hall political/crime boss Big Tim Sullivan could make crime safer for HIS criminals.

As for a 1911 law causing a decrease in crime, it went up to almost 15 per 100,000, then started dropping almost 80 years after guncontrol was imposed. The New York city murder rate started dropping in 1995, and the stricter amendments to the NYC Sullivan Act were passed in 1998-causing the murder rate to quit dropping for three years.

In 1995, better policing methods were introduced, putting the focus on the criminal instead of the gun.

Just in… The Mayor of New York is calling for tougher gun control laws and demanded the president…?

act on it immediately, like tomorrow during his speech ok fine.. The Mayor of New York will tell the President what to do and when to do it, Also the Mayor said that most of these killing are from illegal guns. So My question is… How is tougher gun control laws on legally sold guns going to help the killing situation which he stated comes from illegal guns?

Why do politicians only care about crime when it is one of them?

40 people are murdered in the US EVERY DAY, and no one even cares. Then, when someone shoots a congresswoman, suddenly the politicians realize that this is a problem.

It’s just like in the 1960s, anyone could buy a gun without any limitations, and the crime rates were through the roof. Congress didn’t do jack. Then, when President Kennedy got killed, they finally passed the Gun Control Act of 1968.

It seems like Congress doesn’t care about the thousands of people who are murdered every year, but they only take action when it affects a politician.

Do they secretly wish that law abiding citizens cannot defend themselves, thereby making great tragedies that the actors can someday act in and get oscars?

Lautenburg Amendment question?

So even though I insisted to my choice of service (wont disclose) that I did not fall under the Gun Control Act because the person I assaulted was not a qualifying relationship…they did not believe me and said I could not join because I could not legally carry a firearm.

I went through the MEPS physical, took the asvab, and was suppose to swear in but what I believed to be assault was actually domestic violence ( i told them and was honest with them about being arrested)

Well, I went and applied for a gun permit. The NICS background check came back and they determined I was eligible to carry a fire arm. Can I bring this proof to them and show them that..HEY..I CAN CARRRY a firearm so I’m NOT disqualified??
