When gun control got stricter, on the state and Federal levels, the murder rate climbed, and stayed up over 9 per 100,000, often going over 10 per 100,000. As gun control was made less strict on the state and Federal levels, starting with the Gun Owners’ Protection Act and the Florida Concealed Carry law, the murder rate has dropped to 5 per 100,000, making it quite obvious that GUN CONTROL KILLS.

So why do the blood thirsty people want to pass laws which have been proven to cost lives?

Pre-gun control in the UK saw rates of .2 per 100,000, and each gun control law was accompanied by an increase in the murder rate.

Why are there people who support laws originally passed to protect the KKK murderers, (forming the very foundation of Jim Crow laws), and which even now cost lives?
New York City has the oldest gun control law on the books, the Sullivan Act, from 1911. The Sullivan Act was passed so that the criminals being run by Tammany Hall political/crime boss Big Tim Sullivan could make crime safer for HIS criminals.

As for a 1911 law causing a decrease in crime, it went up to almost 15 per 100,000, then started dropping almost 80 years after guncontrol was imposed. The New York city murder rate started dropping in 1995, and the stricter amendments to the NYC Sullivan Act were passed in 1998-causing the murder rate to quit dropping for three years.

In 1995, better policing methods were introduced, putting the focus on the criminal instead of the gun.

Gun Control, law concerning limits on the possession and use of firearms. All countries have restrictions on some firearms, which vary according to the history of the nation and its circumstances: in the United States, for example, its constitution provides for the right to bear arms. Though American legal scholars dispute the meaning of the constitutional provision, it has been used—together with a long history of private gun ownership—to resist strict firearms control in the United States. European countries have stricter laws. In the United Kingdom the police are generally unarmed and guns are seen to have little place in civilian life, except for some leisure purposes.

In the United Kingdom it is an offence to possess a firearm or a shotgun without a certificate from the police. Firearms certificates are granted if the applicant has good reason to have one, and presents no danger to public safety or the peace. People who have been sentenced to three years or more in prison, and those of intemperate habits or unsound mind, may not be granted certificates; a certificate may also be refused on any other reasonable grounds. Shotgun certificates are more easily obtainable, but the applicant still needs a good reason for having one: they are most usually used in shooting sports. An applicant refused a certificate may appeal to the Crown Court.

Certain particularly dangerous firearms are prohibited, such as most rifle weapons with automatic function or loading, all kinds of explosive or noxious munitions, and disguised firearms. Authority to hold such weapons may be granted by a government minister, most commonly to those involved in theatre and cinema productions, for signalling flares on ships and aeroplanes, or to certified museum curators. Significant restrictions are placed on their movement and storage.

There are a number of weapons for which no certificate is required, such as starting pistols for athletics, miniature rifles on fairgrounds, and air weapons up to a certain power. In certain circumstances it is not an offence to use a shotgun lawfully held by somebody else, for example, when shooting on private property.

Other firearms offences that may be committed regardless of whether the offender holds a certificate or not include carrying a loaded shotgun or air weapon in a public place, and carrying a firearm together with ammunition, whether or not the firearm is actually loaded. Shortening the barrel of a shotgun is illegal: “sawn-off” shotguns are a favoured weapon of bank robbers. Dealing in firearms is only permitted by a licensed dealer, who must have

I know NY state have insanely complex gun control law and regulation. I plan to move to upstate New York to reside. I come from a Western state that’s very liberal in gun rights law. I will live in a house and securing the pistol in storage will make me feel comfortable in heightened security. Amtrak has a policy that clearly prohibit any firearm even in secured packaging. So the only option is to ship the unloaded firearm securely through FedEx or UPS. Can I ship the unloaded pistol in a locked container inside a tight package from UPS/FedEx location to another UPS/FedEx location & sign confirmation upon pick-up or do I need to obtain the license for a non-resident (unlikely)? If I become a legal resident after at least 6 months to a year, can the unloaded pistol be shipped to me by a relative or FFL dealer, provided I hold a valid license?

In the 1990s, the Supreme Court shocked the legal world by striking down two laws for violating the Tenth Amendment. The first was New York v. United States in 1992, where the Court struck down a federal law requiring states to pass state laws for the disposal of radioactive waste, and to issue regulations for implementing those laws. Then in Printz v. United States in 1997, the Court struck down a provision of the Brady Act—a federal gun-control law—that required state and local law enforcement to run background checks on handgun purchasers.

From these two cases emerged the anti-commandeering principle, holding that the Tenth Amendment forbids the federal government from commandeering—or ordering—any branch of state government to do anything. The states are sovereign and answer only to their voters, not to Washington, D.C.
