HR45 the new proposed house bill called "Blair holt licensing and registration act of 2009" will require any hand gun owners and self-loading (guns with a magazine) rifles to register with the Attorney General, give fingerprints, show drivers license or state ID, and update all your address information, and changes. Also requires you to report any sale of a firearm, private or public. Failure to update any address information will be punishable by a year in jail, and the loss of your right to ever own a gun. It also gives them the authority to come into your home and see how and where your guns are kept. This bill is sponsored by Bobby Rush, who is a former domestic terrorist and member of the Black Panthers. Also from Chicago and an acquaintance of B. Obama.
I don’t know about you, but this makes me very uneasy. I had heard that Obama wants to control gun ownership, guess so…

For all you non-believers, check it out at www.independanceinstitute.org

Be sure to read the comments, you will find more information about gun control act

Do they allow concealed/open carry there? What are the age restrictions (if any) for gun ownership? Are full autos allowed? If so, are they regulated in a special class of their own (like here in the U.S.)? Also, are there any ammo restrictions (ie, no hollow points, steel core rounds, etc)? Thanks in advance.

Jews were restricted from purchasing or manufacturing guns via The 1938 German Weapons Act.

Soviet Russia and the Soviet Union did not abolish personal gun ownership during the initial period from 1918 to 1929; the introduction of gun control in 1929 coincided with the beginning of the repressive Stalinist regime as part of Resolutions, 1918 Decree, July 12, 1920 Art. 59 & 182, Pen. code, 1926.

I would just like to know if Rifles made prior to the Gun Control Act of 1968, requires registration under state or federal law? I own a Rifle that was made in the 1950′s, without a serial number, and I live in NYC. NYC is pretty restrictive in gun ownership, requiring registration of all rifles and shotguns.

Via the Montana Standard:

Recently, Sen. Barack Obama has been running radio ads in Montana declaring that he is a friend of gun owners and sportsmen, and promising to protect our right to own guns and continue to enjoy our hunting heritage.

In 1996 Obama’s Illinois state senate campaign answered a questionnaire indicating his support for a blanket ban on the manufacture, sale, and possession of handguns in Illinois

Obama has supported bans on ammunition magazines, to require the use of gun locks on all guns, supported renewal of the 1994 Clinton gun ban

He proposed a federal law banning licensed firearm dealers from operating within five miles of any school or park, nationwide. This would effectively close down most gun shops throughout the country

In 2001, when Illinois lawmakers tried to control rampant gang violence by making gang members eligible for the death penalty when they commit murder to help their gang, Obama voted against the measure.

He opposes right-to-carry laws and supports federal legislation to ban the right to carry

His record shows that he is about as anti-gun as anyone can be. He is totally misrepresenting his position on gun ownership to the voters of Montana. I hope we all keep this in mind on Election Day.
