I’m looking to buy an RPK from J&G guns online, and so far no place in town that HAS an FFL (scheels, pawn shops) will do business with me on this, since the only place that will, only does it for deer rifles or shotguns. Now i’ve had an SKS before, and have behaved responsibly for many years with firearms, and in fact am currently in paperwork with the BATFE to get a Type 50 explosives manufacturer license (legal hobbyist) and have a spotless criminal record (including driving!) and even coach an after-school program, so between being a good-intentioned guy and having the BATFE already allowed to conduct random visits for my explosives license, i think i can assure you pretty well that you’d be safe selling me a "scary" gun like an RPK. No criminal record of anyone in my household either.

So do you think i could find somebody in Iowa with an FFL who actually WOULD let me pay them a good fee to let me purchase through them, cash up front? How much should i expect to pay them?
Oh and i put this in hunting because i plan on using this for backyard hunting (i live in rural iowa where i have a safe area of privately owned woods to shoot in) as well as the hunting guys always seeming to have better gun answers. HR45 the new proposed house bill called "Blair holt licensing and registration act of 2009" will require any hand gun owners and self-loading (guns with a magazine) rifles to register with the Attorney General, give fingerprints, show drivers license or state ID, and update all your address information, and changes. Also requires you to report any sale of a firearm, private or public. Failure to update any address information will be punishable by a year in jail, and the loss of your right to ever own a gun. It also gives them the authority to come into your home and see how and where your guns are kept. This bill is sponsored by Bobby Rush, who is a former domestic terrorist and member of the Black Panthers. Also from Chicago and an acquaintance of B. Obama.

It’s an honest question.

There were 1,074,757 gun purchases through licensed FFL dealers last month. 9,076,205 for this year. Over a million a month.

And how do you gun banners propose getting all of them? And how do you explain that gun crime rate has been going down over the past couple decades? And why is it that the crime rate is higher in cities and state where regulation is strict compared to states with more lax laws?

And can you answer this one simple question:

Can you demonstrate one time or place, throughout all history, where the average person was made safer by restricting access to handheld weapons?

I don’t expect people to try and answer that question. Or answer it directly.
Only 17% of weapon that are taken from the drug cartels are traced back to the US.

The ATF has said the 90% of the guns that are given to them from Mexico to trace are from the US. But that is about 18% of the total guns recovered and most are handguns. The other 72% don’t have American markings or American serial numbers.
Therefore that 72% is never given to the ATF to trace because it is obvious they don’t come from America.
And before someone calls it out my mistake its 82% of the total seized guns that are known to not be American.

H.R. 17 (Bartlett): This bill would reaffirm the right to use firearms for self-defense and for defense of one’s home and family.

H.R. 45 (Rush): This bill would require a license for handguns and semiautomatics, including those currently possessed. The applicant must be thumbprinted and sign a certification that, effectively, the firearm will not be kept in a place where it would be available for the defense of the gun owner’s family. The applicant must also make available ALL of his psychiatric records, pass an exam, and pay a fee of up to . The license may be renewed after five years and may be revoked. Private sales would be outlawed, and reports to the attorney general of all transactions would be required, even when, as the bill allows, the AG determines that a state licensing system is sufficiently draconian to substitute for the federal license.

Dont be stupid. Any infringment on our constitutional right is a bad thing. not a good thing, and one more thing read the whole bill. WAKE UP AMERICA, this is not right, The Oath our politcians take when they get into office is to DEFEND our rights, not take them away. They cant just change the constitution because they think it is ok. They are traitors. If they take your guns what will they take next. YOU really think they will stop at one of your rights. If you do you are uneducated and you dont understand your rights. Just because I believe that blacks should be slaves doesnt make it right. They deserve to be free because the constitution grants that right. Same with guns. It doesnt matter what the people say, The constitution should not be treated like an old outdated set af rules, it is a living document that should not be infringed on
