Why are the Obamanazi so hard at work to destroy my rights?

September 9th, 2010 admin 9 comments

Legislation to require a federal license to possess any detachable-magazine semi-automatic rifle or shotgun, or any handgun, has been introduced in Congress. Bills to re-impose the federal "assault weapon" and "large" magazine ban, or to impose a much broader ban, have been introduced in Congress since 2003, and will likely be introduced in the current Congress soon.

Already, the deliberate deceptions we heard from anti-gunners previously are resurfacing. Anti-gun Sen. Carl Levin, D-MI, said last Thursday on the floor of the Senate that "assault weapons" are "capable of firing up to 600 rounds per minute" and that they are "once again pervading our streets and neighborhoods."

Did we mention that our opponents are deliberately deceptive?

Many fully-automatic firearms can fire 10 rounds in a second, which theoretically would work out to 600 rounds per minute, but they cannot be reloaded fast enough to achieve anything near that rate in reality. But we are not talking about fully-automatic firearms—we’re talking about semi-automatics, and the difference between them need not be explained here.

"Pervading our streets?" Anti-gun lawmakers swore up and down that once the "assault weapon" ban expired, the murder rate would go through the roof. Well, the ban expired in 2004 and since then, the murder rate has gone down to a 43-year low.

Why has Huerta Sr. not been deported? Why does he still have a Texas Driver’s license?

September 7th, 2010 admin 1 comment

(PRESS RELEASE – Download .doc) In Federal District Court on July 20, 2010, the ATF won a conviction from an Austin jury that defies logic and reason.

In a trial before Federal Judge Sam Sparks, government lawyers conceded Texas resident Paul Copeland did not know his buyer was an illegal alien, but the jury they should convict him anyway because he “had reasonable cause to believe” he was selling to an illegal alien because the two men and a boy who were present at his table at the time of the sale: 1) were Hispanic, 2) spoke Spanish, and 3) wore cowboy clothing. And the jury did as asked. Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer Freel acted as lead prosecutor in the case.

The firearm transaction at issue occurred on January 16, 2010, at a gunshow at the North Austin Events Center, at 10601 N. Lamar Blvd., in Austin, Texas. Undercover ATF agents followed Mr. Huerta, his son, and another Hispanic male, Hipolito Aviles, around the “Texas Gunshow” that day, and claimed to observe Huerta’s transaction. Austin P.D. used Copeland’s case as the reason to close down the gunshow, leading to a protest by Austin residents in front of APD headquarters on January 25. Mr. Copeland is a 56 year old Cedar Creek resident and Vietnam veteran who liked to buy, sell, and trade firearms as a hobby. On January 16, however, he had the misfortune to sell a handgun to Leonel Huerta Sr., who spoke both English and Spanish. Huerta Sr. negotiated his purchase from Copeland in English, showing Copeland his Texas Driver’s License. At Copeland’s trial Huerta admitted on the witness stand, that he is in the country illegally, (Huerta Sr. had previously admitted this fact to Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) Special Agent Leo Buentello). ATF Agent Shawn Kang claimed he saw Huerta later hand off the gun to Aviles. Despite these admissions, Huerta Sr. was never arrested, charged, or deported. Instead, his presence at the gunshow was used to entrap an American citizen into an unwitting violation of a federal gun control law. Huerta Sr., who is a resident of the City of Austin, appeared as a witness at the trial, admitted he was in the country illegally before federal prosecutors and a federal judge, yet he was allowed to leave the courtroom under his own power. To date Huerta Sr. has not been prosecuted for his purchase, possession, or disposition of the handgun he bought from Copeland, while Copeland is now a convicted felon.

September 6th, 2010 admin 11 comments

How do armored car guards get a license to openly carry rifles or a shotgun in their truck and always have a holstered handgun on them at all times when no private citizen is allowed to get a permit? And fyi Illinois is a no-issue concealed carry firearm state.

MA private gun sales question?

September 5th, 2010 admin 2 comments

I am a MA resident, with a class A unrestricted LTC. I’m trying to buy an H&K P2000 9mm through a private sale from a friend who is a non FFL dealer (private party) in Texas. It is my understanding that although the weapon is not on the MA approved handgun roster, the sale can be made as long as the proper transfer paperwork is filed with MA, and that basically the approved handgun roster only applies to firearms that can be sold by licensed dealers in MA, and therefore would not prevent a private sale of a gun that is not on the roster. Could someone with a working knowledge of MA regulations chime in on this please?
Thanks very much in advance!!

Is it legal in Washington State, for an 18 year-old to own a handgun?

August 21st, 2010 admin 1 comment

What about get a concealed firearms license?
Or transport it around in a car?
Or even carry it around?

I know it’s not legal for a FFL dealer to sell you a handgun unless you are 21, but I have heard that your dad or grandpa could sell you one, or even a friend could sell you one.

I have passed a firearms safety course also.

I can’t seem to find anything on it in the RCW:

Gun Laws in Hawai'i: What exactly are they?

August 16th, 2010 admin 1 comment

I live in Hawai’i and have read many different things about gun laws here and am kind of confused of what they are as of now.
My main questions are:
1) Which parts of the gun law requires you to be at least 21?
2) Do ammunition purchases need to be registered as well?
3) What’re the differences between owning a shotgun and handgun?
4) Could someone please tell me the laws to abide in lamen’s terms? (not government article stuff) Thank you!

Mailing a handgun from private citizen to FFL?

August 7th, 2010 admin 4 comments

I sold a WWII dated P-38 handgun to someone. Now I need to ship it to them. He is going to get his FFL to send me some paperwork and/or license to me so I can ship it through the USPS to the FFL. Is this possible? Do they have some form or something to let me ship a handgun USPS?

I know I could ship it next day through FedEx or UPS, but at – that is a bit extreme and would like to ship through the USPS priority for -.

So is it possible that his FFL can
The USPS will ship hand guns if you are a 01FFL (dealer), I am only a 03FFL (curio and relics collector). I am trying to find out if the 01FFL has some way to let me, a private citizen (as the 03FFL dosen’t effect shiping, only recieving C&R guns), send them a hand gun through the USPS. I don’t think I can but I want to make sure as saving would be great.
