This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future! – Adolph Hitler [1935] The Weapons Act of Nazi Germany
And no, I don’t imply she would have concentration camps or start a world war, but the comparisons in the way the two campaigned politically is very similar.
1) Class warfare. Pandering to one larger group of voters while blaming societal ills on a smaller "scapegoat group". To Hitler, the wealthy Jews were the scapegoat. To Hillary, wealthy hardworking Americans are the bad guys.
2) Sweeping gun control. Efforts to disarm the nation or to heavily regulate who can own firearms (which is one step away from total disarmament at government’s whim). It is no secret that Ted Kennedy modelled the Gun Control Act of 1968 after Nazi Germany’s laws in the 1930′s. And Hillary’s push for more gun control legislation continues.
3) Stereotyping/demonizing political opponents. To Hitler, it was the "vast Jewish conspiracy." To Hillary, it is the "vast right wing conspiracy." (To disagree with either person in their time resulted in being labelled a nut or being dangerous.)
"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."
Thomas Jefferson
The Amended South African firearm control act of 2006 dictates that all gun owners must re-register their firearms. The process is (of course) painstakingly slow as it meanders through the politically correct and inefficient South African beaurocracy, with no guarantee of a renewed license.
Many of these weapons, that have been turned in to the backward and corrupt new South African police services, whilst awaiting renewal of the application, have miraculously found their way into the hands of violent criminals and used in robberies and murders.
The cops are criminals, too.
The first ‘civilized’ nation to enact gun control laws was Nazi Germany, in 1933.
Before a population can be overwhelmed, it first must be disarmed.
