I just got the application to get this license. if i am only going to sell to(or buy) for family and friends that have the right to own a gun (no criminals,) will this permit allow it? the main reason i want one is to buy old war rifles and ammo for them cheap for myself, but i have others i know that have old rifles that would love to get ammo for them cheap. any input would be great…. also, for an FFL, would i have to sell them to others, like buy guns and sell them to those that can legally own them in order to have one? i would love to just get them online for myself, but i’m not sure if that is allowed.

On March 14th, I plan on attending my first gun show at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds in Georgia. I know how much a new .17 and .22 caliber rifle is since I own multiple rifles in various calibers from .17HMR to .44 Remington Magnum. I have all the licensing and documentation required to own and fire a firearm in my area. What I want to ask his, how much could I expect to find a good quality .17 or .22 caliber rifle for? I plan on using them for backyard plinking, light pest control, say up to rabbit or squirrel, and as a cheaper firing range alternative to more expensive caliber rounds. I am not sure if it is a dealer show, a private owner show or a mixed show. Is it possible to do some bargaining? Or if I think the price is OK should I just buy it? Thanks.

O.K….We sold a really nice (And expensive…2K) rifle to a Man who we were familiar with…(Parent of one of our child’s friend)….But not real close to….So we extended some trust by accepting a Check from him as he owns a small business for rifle supplies…. (Small time manufacturing for rifles…Stocks, handguards, etc…) He also has an 07 FFL ( A license for manufacturing). When he got the rifle, We got a copy of his DL, FFL, bill of sale(He kept trying to backdate it), and the check……He asked if we could wait for 3-5 business days to cash the check as he wanted to sell the rifle to "someone else" through his business who wanted to use a credit card and he would have the money in 3-5 days in his account. We deposited the check after 5 days. The check was returned with all kinds of charges and so on…He will not return our calls or email. His voice mailbox is full. It has been 4 days. What are some realistic options? Any real legal action we can use now?
There were two charges…Both related to his check(*RETURNED DEPOSITED ITEM and MAINTENANCE)…We covered our end for sure and didn’t spend anything against his check…But we’re out 2k none the less. The fee’s are small time. The real issue for us is the rifle and the money owed for it. because of the nature…We’re wondering who to call first…Local police…DA….ATF….?
