Despite the fact that concealed carry laws have lowered violent crimes in every state they have been enacted in and hundreds of thousands of Americans use their guns to stop crimes every year Liberals want to take them away, WHY??

"The U.S. Supreme Court says Americans have an individual right to keep and bear arms. The EPA says the bullets for those guns may be banned as an environmental hazard."

"The Environmental Protection Agency of Lisa Jackson is seriously considering a petition by the Center for Biological Diversity, a leading anti-hunting group, to ban all traditional lead ammunition under the Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA) of 1976."

"If the EPA approves the petition, the result will be a ban on all ammunition containing lead-core components. Bullets made of material other than lead are often considered armor-piercing by law and are banned. So this amounts to gun control by stealth."

"There is no scientific basis for restricting lead ammunition on the basis of protecting the health of humans or wildlife."

"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."
Thomas Jefferson

The Amended South African firearm control act of 2006 dictates that all gun owners must re-register their firearms. The process is (of course) painstakingly slow as it meanders through the politically correct and inefficient South African beaurocracy, with no guarantee of a renewed license.
Many of these weapons, that have been turned in to the backward and corrupt new South African police services, whilst awaiting renewal of the application, have miraculously found their way into the hands of violent criminals and used in robberies and murders.
The cops are criminals, too.

The first ‘civilized’ nation to enact gun control laws was Nazi Germany, in 1933.
Before a population can be overwhelmed, it first must be disarmed.

What gun control laws did Great Britain have when the American colonies revolted? It seems to me that if the United States put the right to keep and bear arms in its constitution, it must have been from a bad British experience. Was it just because they wanted civilians to revolt against the government, or was there a gun control law Britain had they felt was unreasonable?
