If the conservative esitmate of legally owned firearms in the US is 355,029,250 what's the liberal estimate?

September 1st, 2010 admin 8 comments

It’s an honest question.

There were 1,074,757 gun purchases through licensed FFL dealers last month. 9,076,205 for this year. Over a million a month.

And how do you gun banners propose getting all of them? And how do you explain that gun crime rate has been going down over the past couple decades? And why is it that the crime rate is higher in cities and state where regulation is strict compared to states with more lax laws?

And can you answer this one simple question:

Can you demonstrate one time or place, throughout all history, where the average person was made safer by restricting access to handheld weapons?

I don’t expect people to try and answer that question. Or answer it directly.
Only 17% of weapon that are taken from the drug cartels are traced back to the US.

The ATF has said the 90% of the guns that are given to them from Mexico to trace are from the US. But that is about 18% of the total guns recovered and most are handguns. The other 72% don’t have American markings or American serial numbers.
Therefore that 72% is never given to the ATF to trace because it is obvious they don’t come from America.
And before someone calls it out my mistake its 82% of the total seized guns that are known to not be American.

I heard that having a TS clearance makes firearm purchases easier?

Will this make it easier to obtain my FFL(?) license or whatever it’s called? I’m looking to purchase an AR15 and a handgun in Georgia. Also would it make it easier for me to purchase fully auto weapons if I ever want to? I’m not up to date on the laws so much….

Gun show Loophole – Selling Weapons?

July 14th, 2010 admin 21 comments

Help me understand the Gun show loophole. From what I understand, an individual can sell their weapons at a gunshow without running a backround check. Does this also mean they can sell their weapon without needing to go through a person/business with a Federal Firearms License to complete the transfer?

In other words, can I sell a Glock Pistol to somebody who says, "Hey, I’ll give you 0 bucks for that Glock", and just take the money, give them the gun and call it a day? No paper work, no checks, no license, no nothing? Is that the Gun Show Loophole?

Do you want to see why gun control laws will not work?

It is against the law to have guns @ sea where the pirates are boarding ships with their weapons.
The lawful are at the mercy of the lawless when speaking of gun control laws.

Is the ANC rendering South Africans defenseless against their so-called government?

"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."
Thomas Jefferson

The Amended South African firearm control act of 2006 dictates that all gun owners must re-register their firearms. The process is (of course) painstakingly slow as it meanders through the politically correct and inefficient South African beaurocracy, with no guarantee of a renewed license.
Many of these weapons, that have been turned in to the backward and corrupt new South African police services, whilst awaiting renewal of the application, have miraculously found their way into the hands of violent criminals and used in robberies and murders.
The cops are criminals, too.

The first ‘civilized’ nation to enact gun control laws was Nazi Germany, in 1933.
Before a population can be overwhelmed, it first must be disarmed.

A few questions about FFL Licenses.?

May 30th, 2010 admin 4 comments

I want to own a store where I can sell weapons, ammo, and also gunsmith. I realize that you have to have an FFL to sell firearms, but I have a few questions about an FFL. I see and hear everywhere about FFLs… from Classes I – III.

– How/where do I go to apply for an FFL?
– How difficult is it to obtain an FFL?
– From classes I-III… which is best?
– Should I apply for a Class III, and if so, is there a waiting
period after I get a Class I before I can get a Class III, and
are there only certain conditions under which you are able
to have a Class III FFL?

That’s about it for now, so, thanks for your your answers and comments!

How can we change gun laws to prevent the Virginia Tech. tradgedy from occuring again?

I’m writing a letter to the Senator and Congressman of the state, and in my letter I want to include solutions to the gun laws in the United states, especially the ones in Virginia and Pennsylvania. If anybody could also include some information about the gun laws in the less strict states, I’ll be more grateful. Thanks.
From some answers, I’ve heard opinions saying that guns are not the problem of the matter, but the American society itself. I would like to argue to this, for people with more accessibility to guns are more inclined to use them as suicide weapons, rather than a knife or through suffication. When they decide to commit such an aact, they do it without thinking, but cannot take back the actions they have committed. If a young student could show up at a pawn shop with a license and buy a weapon that could kill another human being, I’d say that our neighorhood isn’t safe at all.
