Another news headline involving a shooter, another tragedy that could have been stopped had people in the building been carrying and trained. How many more tragedies have to happen before people wake up and realize " If we carry firearms lawfully and am competent/trained to use it then we could stop these acts before innocent people die" ?

Our couragous lawenforcement men and women can’t be everywhere at every second, it’s fiscally irresponsible for us to depend on someone else for safety and more so to not be prepared to help others.

Unlike most most 18 year old people I take pride in the fact that I’m pretty knowledgeable about gun laws. now I’ confused about some shotguns falling under AOW. my understanding is that as long as there barrel length is 18 inches and there overall length is 26 inches no paper work is required. I saw on Yahoo that if it has a pistol grip and a front vertical grip then it falls under AOW and requires a 5 dollar stamp form the BATFE. how does that fall under AOW if it meets the length requirements?

The only thing I see for shotgun under AOW is

"A short-barreled shotgun which came from the factory with a pistol grip is categorized as an AOW rather than a SBS, because the Gun Control Act describes a shotgun as “…designed or redesigned to be fired from the shoulder…”

If they were worried about laws, they wouldn’t be criminals in the first place. All these unconstitutional laws do are make it more difficult for law-abiding citizens to protect themselves.

Or do you think maybe just maybe Chicago should spend time going after the criminals first and enforce the laws on the book now rather going to fight this new law in the courts.
