I want to buy a rifle for my dad perhaps online but I have to do it threw a local gun store and all this crazy paper work nonsense and I was wondering if my pistol permit counts as an FFL License.
Anyone know?

no it doesn’t. FFL is the fedral firearm lic you need to be a arms dealer.
FFL is the license a store or dealer has to buy and sell guns.
Some guns must be handled by a FFL to transfer ownership.
If you buy a gun online it must be shipped to a FFL and they will charge you a fee to transfer the gun to you.
Some individuals have FFL and the work out of their homes, you can get a list of local FFLs and contact them.
The Federal Firearms License allows you to sell or transfer firearms
The pistol permit allows you to own or carry a handgun, depending on where you live
There should not be an awful lot of paper work involved
Just go to your FFL show him what you want and he can order it for you and you just have to fill out the same amount of paperwork as if you had bought it from his store, depending on where you live
You have some answers already about the FFL not having anything to do with a conceal and carry license, but I’d like to clarify. By law, any handgun that is shipped anywhere in the USA MUST be shipped to a licensed firearms dealer (FFL).
Just pick up the phone book and call around and ask the dealers what they charge to accept a gun for you and transfer ownership to you. With the advent of the internet, and sites such as gunbroker.com, any FFL dealer you speak with will be very familiar with this. Many of them make an awful lot of money providing this service.

An FFL is a federal license that allows you to buy and sell firearms. Basically, it’s the license a gun dealer must have.
Your pistol permit merely allows you to carry a handgun in that state. Other states may or may not recognize it as valid. But it has nothing to do with transferring firearms.
I don’t know what you mean aby "all this crazy paperwork nonsense." There is only one form that has to be filled out. Takes about 2 minutes. The dealer than has to call-in the deal, and get approval for the sale. This, also, only takes a couple of minutes.
All in all, you’ll spend more time browsing the gunshop then it takes to complete a sale. Speaking of which, I would check what the dealers in your area have in stock, before buying a gun on-line. There are many benefits to this, not the least of which is the dealer will stand behind the sale.
All firearms, with the exception of muzzleloaders, have to be shipped to an FFL. Dealers may or may not charge for this. Usually it’s only a moderate fee, like about $5 or $10. The responder who’s paying 20 bucks for this service really needs to consider finding a different dealer.
