I am living with my girlfriend in her place in the Philippines, Can I bring and keep the gun in her place? will I be breaking any law If i get caught by a cop during the process of bringing the weapon to her place, perhaps while on the road? I do have a firearms license.. would that suffice?

A firearms license means the gun is registered and legal but you cannot conceal and carry it with you hidden on your body. The laws are very differing in the various states on guns and concealed carry. A few years back in my state you could carry a pistol on your hip in plain sight and it was legal. You could also have it in your car but it had to be in plain sight in the seat or on the dash. They have since changed it and you can now carry it in your trunk, under your seat, etc. Your car in my state is considered an extension of your house and may have weapons in it.But I know nothing of Philippine law.
license means that you have the right to have a gun, let’s say in your house. A permit to carry means that u can carry it around with u where it’s permitted, but it has to be seen for the first few months, then u can conceal it.
well to answer ur Q the difference is that a firearms saftey gives you the right to hunt and buy licenses and a permit to carry is mainly for handguns and it gives you the right to carry it on you at all times
but if you are just transporting ur gun make sure it is in a case if not u will get in trouble and also keep it in the very back of what you are driving
