Criminals don’t obey the laws to begin with. Why would adding more laws that restrict the honest, law abiding citizens make a difference? Criminals usually get their guns illegally already.

I believe in Marshall law. Everyday I hear of people being shot or stabbed. If they brought in Marshall Law maybe there would be a decrease in such criminal acts. I live in Hamilton Ontario & there is not a week that goes by that someone is either shot or stabbed by people who don’t care whether they live or die
I wish Congress would understand that!! It missed by being the law of the hand of being able to carry a concealed weapon by just 2 votes in the Senate last year. Thanks to my 2 Senators White and Durbin of Illinois. Maybe its cas Mayor Daley of Chicago wants to ban hand guns!!! He should not be re elected either as the up coming 1/3 of Congress. Thanksss
Why do some people think that everyone having guns mean there will be no crime? Mean after all the Old West was completely free of crime right?
Personally I’m in the middle of the road on gun control. I want common sense laws that promote responsible gun ownership before a crime and punishes criminals harshly after. But since the issue is polarized so badly by groups on either side that will never happen
I agree with you – but – I also believe that a child that gets control of your gun (because you did not safely store it) and goes to a school and kills other kids – then the gun owner should be charged with murder too.

You only have to look to countries that do have strict gun control laws to get your answer. Look at statistics on gun related crimes from Canada, England, Ireland, to name a few and the answer is clear. Of course criminals are going to get the hands on a gun if they are really determined but you Americans make it just too easy.
I own a gun because it gives me the protection and security I want from all the crazies. The first time I ever had a gun pointed at my head was when I was in middle school and a math teacher got angry at me for saying I liked to play paintball. After that I refused to live unprotected.

I don´t really agree with that. Gun control is just for citizens who follows strictly the laws. So what to do with the out-of-laws???? There´s no how to control that. Even if the police intensify their gun searches, removing weapons from the streets, in any part of the country we can have a traffic situation, what makes it in an endless story.
